Go to: Family Crisis Center NM The Family Crisis Center (FCC), established in 1978, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive services to individuals and families affected by domestic violence in San Juan County, New Mexico.

Operating from two primary facilities—Marge's Place, a protective shelter for victims and their children, and a Counseling Center offering support to victims, child witnesses, and offenders—FCC adopts a trauma-informed approach to address the physical and emotional needs of survivors.

Utilization of Grant Funding

Grant funding is essential for FCC to maintain and expand its services. Approximately 64% of the organization's revenue is derived from contracts and grants with the State of New Mexico and other governmental entities.

These funds are allocated towards:

• Operational Costs: Ensuring that facilities like Marge's Place and the Counseling Center are adequately staffed and maintained to provide continuous support to clients.
  

• Program Development: Implementing and enhancing programs such as counseling services, offender rehabilitation, and community education workshops.
